This program provides students with an opportunity to receive homework assistance from a certified teacher in the Library. This program runs Monday through Thursday during the school year, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 pm.
Shoutbomb Text Alerts
This service will text you about holds, renewals, and due dates. In addition, it will allow you to renew eligible items with a simple return text message. To get started with Shoutbomb, send a text to email@example.com. In the body of the message type ‘SIGNUP’ and send. From there, follow the instructions to set up your account. If you have trouble, call the Library at 630-365-2244.
We will bring the Library to you! If you are unable to get the Library for any reason, our team of traveling librarians can deliver and return your choice of Library materials. The Library provides 12 computers to the public for internet access. All Microsoft Office programs and printing capabilities are available on all the computers. Printing costs $0.10 per black and white page and $0.50 per color page.
We offer a variety of expert-taught computer classes. Computer classes cover a wide range of different topics, from utilizing Library eBooks on your device to effectively using Microsoft Word. Each computer class operates on a first come, first served basis and requires $5.00 to be paid prior to the beginning of class. Browse our online calendar here to sign up for a computer class today.
Popular Database Access
Databases such as Gale, Heritage Quest, and BookFlix can be accessed in the Library or from home on any computer. All you need to log onto these databases is your Town and Country Library card number and PIN number. Genealogical research database Ancestry Plus and business database ReferenceUSA are available only in the Library.
Several members of our staff are able to assist you in voter registration.
Microsoft Office and Computers
All public computers are available for word processing. Microsoft Office Suite products installed on each computer include Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Movie Maker, Outlook, and Publisher.
Donated by the Elburn Lions Club, the video screen magnifier can enlarge books, newspapers, and other print media. This machine is available without an appointment.
The Business Center is located beside the copier. It includes a stapler, pencil sharpener, three-hole punch, tape, paper clips, pencils, and fax cover sheets. Plain white business envelopes can be purchased for $0.10 each.
Faxes can be sent for $1.00 per page or $2.00 per page for international destinations. Fax cover sheets are available.

Wireless Internet access is available throughout the building thanks to the generous support of the Shodeen Family Foundation.
Two private study rooms have power sources for laptop computers, wifi access, and LAN connections. They are available on a first come, first served basis.
